Introduction and Screenshots

The BIS² suite of applications consists of three core products.  These three products, along with relevant industry Business Performance Drivers, comprise BIS²’s industry specific solutions.

The three core products are:

vizExplorer

• vizExplorer is a client side Adobe^® Flash^® browser based application.  It allows business and technical users to search, view and interact with the Super Graphics.  It also allows users to create charts, drill down to the data, and select customer lists.  Users can also create their own additional Super Graphics with new measures, restrictions and time periods for further analysis.  View product demo of vizExplorer here:

vizProcessor

• vizProcessor is the server side application of JAVA™ components. The server side design is suitable for installation in organizations ranging from small companies to mega-corporations. vizProcessor manages the processing of the Super Graphics, and makes them available to an end user via a front end user application. 

• The application uses J2EE technology with USEful™ and RESTful interfaces, and is deployed on IBM WebSphere^®  Application Services or JBoss EAP. 

vizMaker

• vizMaker is an Adobe^® Flash^® browser based Web 2.0 data visualization building tool. It contains a rich drag-and-drop environment that enables the rapid development and configuration of Super Graphics. vizMaker enables advanced users to update the Super Graphics and keep pace with the ever changing business environment, and ever changing business needs.  vizMaker gives an organization essentially full control over what and how information is displayed in the Super Graphics.  This includes adding with relative ease, additional tables and fields, new business metrics, and new Super Graphics.  It even allows additional databases (of the same or different types) to be added to the system.  View product demo of vizMaker here.

 

 

vizExplorer Demo

vizExplorer functionality includes:

• Viewing a Super Graphic – see the big picture; understand the patterns and meaningful relationships.
• Searching, saving, printing, and emailing Super Graphics.
• Viewing a single Super Graphic, or viewing multiple Super Graphics, as an animation.

 

 

vizExplorer functionality includes:

• Zooming and panning capabilities, with a preset default view.
• A legend that contains relevant information pertaining to the Super Graphic.
• The ability to view Restrictions applied and available to be applied to the Super Graphic.
• A Statistics window showing total figures and any selected subset of the data.
• The ability to  select data points and view more information on those points.

 

 

vizExplorer functionality includes:

• The data from the database that has been used to create the Super Graphic, and even export this data to excel for further analysis.
• The ability to view the automatically generated Structure Query Language (SQL) for the Super Graphic.
• A Histogram that shows the distribution of data displayed in the heat map.
• OLAP charting functionality (bar charts and line charts).
• A special magnifier to examine fine detail.
• The ability to add Tags (i.e. notes) to the Visual Document.
• The ability to export customers lists to a back-end server for an external mail house.
• On-line Help.
   

 

vizExplorer functionality includes:

• The ability to change dates, restrictions, the heatmap variable and other parameters for new Visual Documents.
• The ability to view the rendering progress of a Visual Document.
• The ability to Schedule Visual Documents to run at any future date, and to view the list of Scheduled Visual Documents.
• The ability to quickly see the most recently accessed Super Graphics (i.e. see the history).

vizMaker functionality includes:

• The ability to view and modify existing Dimensions and Business Performance Drivers (BPDs).
• A helper to create new Dimensions and BPDs.
• The ability to add and modify Joins between two or more tables.

 

vizMaker functionality includes:

• Pre-built Visual Document Templates (Spatial, Temporal, Pivotal, Quartal and Inspatial).
• A wizard to modify and customize Visual Documents.
• An Entity Relationship Diagram.
